GE Water and Power – Liquid Level Probe Proves Itself Once Again

GE has had several applications where Ultrasonic does not stand up or operate correctly and radar tends to be too expensive. The most affordable and reliable product currently on the market is the Levelpro 100 series Liquid Level Probe. The All thermoplastic liquid level probe that Levelpro offers is a rugged design. It can hold up to the most corrosive medias. The hydrostatic pressure technology measures water column. On those applications that have vapor, foam and condensate, which can cause an ultrasonic level transmitter go lost. The Levelpro 100 series Liquid Level Probe is the best solution.  The market has been flooded with Ultrasonic level sensor that do not seem to work all the time. People just have it in their mind that with corrosive applications they need a non-contact sensor. This is incorrect. The Levelpro 100 Series Liquid Level Probe proves itself to be one of the least expensive solution.

GE Water and Power is an Original equipment manufacturer that continually needs to monitor their level in several different tanks. It was just recent that they discovered the Levelpro 100 Series LiquidLevel Probe. GE Water and Power uses several different acids and caustics in their manufacturing plant and would hate to run out in the middle of the day. That’s why it is crucial they use a liquid level probe to measure their level. From Sulfuric Acid, Caustic Soda (Sodium Hydroxide), Sodium Hypochlorite and even Nitric Acid. The 100 series do not fail. Due to the corrosive liquid, we used the PVC material, kalrez seals and ceramic sensor. This product is also available in PVDF and Polypropylene for those applications that may not be recommended with PVC. With the .5% accuracy of the 100 series plastic liquid level switch coupled with the Levelpro TVL series LED Display and Controller, the application was reading accurately within minutes of set up. Only one number is to be set up in the display for the Levelpro 100 series pressure transmitter to work flawlessly with the Levelpro TVL series LED display.

GE Water and Power now standardizes on the Levelpro 100 Series Liquid Levelpro for all of their level applications. Since the 100 Series Liquid Levelpro is not that expensive, as mentioned. It is great for them to keep several in stock as backups. The reason is not due to failure but sometimes the liquid level probes get misused while out in the field. Since the ceramic sensor is very sensitive, it is required to really keep good care of them. Also, if there are other units in the tank with the Levelpro 100 series liquid level probe, It could get tangled up. Sometimes the customer or GE water and Power use mixes of pumps inside of the tank with the Levelpro 100 Series Liquid Levelpro which can cause some issues. With that being said, it will still measure the level accurately. Just one more application and customer that is very satisfied by the Levepro 100 series Liquid Level Probe.
